Will you be able to handle it? Visit a State Park Heyburn State Park, south of Lake Coeur d’Alene near Plummer (pop. 990), is the oldest state park in the Pacific Northwest. Many of the park’s structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, beginning in 1934. Farragut State Park is on the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille in the Coeur d'Alene Mountains.
